A little word about the toy industry...

It took a while to voice something and I completely apologize... now lets get down to business...

Here we go...

3 and 3/4" figures...

Toy Biz has a really neat idea... let the largest 3 and 3/4" toy company and one of your greatest rivals make your figures for you. Not only is the head ache over with wasted time from ever breaking equipment and the finding of cheap staff for factories, but also, the hunt for new developing teams, and the risks on clueless marketing plots to launch a toy line cease.

Just, let some one else do it for you, and make money off of their backs!

Honestly, I was TICKED OFF at Toy Biz when I found out about this...

Ruin the time tested Spider - Man Lines!
Ruin the newly developed Marvel Legends Lines!
Ruin the prospect of another great Movie Line!
Ruin the Toy Biz namesake!

WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO THE GREAT AMERICAN SPIRIT OF INGENUITY AND HARD WORK...

...Well...

...I got a chance to think about it...

When I was a kid I would always eventually have a great war. Spider Man would be in the clutches of the Evil Shredder with the Autobots locked outside by the villainous Cobra, with Optimus Prime being dismantled by Galvatron and the Warlord Skeletor. What about He - Man? He was fighting the Horde in Snake Mountain with Lion-O all the while being led on a wild goose chase by the impostor Zartan. Meanwhile back at the Space Station Eternia the Toxic Crusaders were slowly getting pushed back by the relentless Vipers and their B.A.T.s led by Mumm - Ra the Unliving. But on the horizon reinforcements led by the Incredible Hulk and Punisher leading an X-Team and M.A.S.K... Unbeknown to them lurking in wait was the Master of Magnetism and The Joker with an army of Battle Beasts and Storm Troopers...

What did not make sense back then was... How could a towering, nearly 6 inch Master of the Universe figure lock into mortal combat with a 3 and 3/4 inch Darth Vader? I am sorry but I severely begin to question the power of the Dark Side when the battle is a minimally articulated, light saber brandishing, vinyl caped puppet against a giant blonde haired barbarian wielding a gigantic Sword of Power supposedly harnessing the Power of the Universe...

You really needed an imagination back then...

...Until now...

Now you can finally have a real gigantic war where everyone is the SAME HEIGHT!!!

So...

I do give some amount of props to Toy Biz and Hasbro, as much as I do love to see two great American icons of childhood symbolism locked in a desperate war for the greatest toy lines on the market... I am now torn by the fact that my Marvel toys can now enter the world of G. I. Joe, whom can join the ranks of Star Wars... But also this new alliance forces other giants to create like sizes allowing D. C. Comics size up their ranks with the likes of Terminator and Star Trek...

This is truly a great time to be a kid and a collector. (Or even just a kid at heart!)

This one goes to all the ones that keep this alive.
